Eden Huguet Lee
My name is Eden Huguet Lee. I create surrealist oil paintings and graphite drawings that exhibit absurd compositions and dramatic qualities that reimagine complex emotions as illustrations. My work is a portal for me to explore my own subconscious through the lens of the new world that I create rather than that of the conscious, limited mind. Most pieces I pursue are those that I channel in my sleep or amidst a state of higher being; whether it be intense emotional experiences or during tranquil clarity. Most of my visions manifest themselves as oil paintings, drawings or sculptures in my mind, as those are the mediums I am most familiar with. As I continue to explore more materials, those too will open doors to new realms of imagination. My work welcomes viewers to perceive this fragment of my creative mind and impose their own interpretations and prompt introspection.
